Schwaebisch Hall is absolutely amazing! It's so quaint and beautiful and I am just happy to wake up every day here.
All the new people are really great and friendly and cool and I already feel like we're this tight nit little group. Most of the people I've met go to U of M, too, so y'all can meet them some time and we can all party together.
Since arriving and unpacking, pretty much all we've done is hang out, drink lots of beer, and eat lots of sausage and other german-type things.
Food here is either much cheaper than at home or much more expensive. Beer is less than 1 american dollar per bottle, unless you get it at a restaurant. Fruit is much more expensive than at home. Apples are more than an american dollar a piece.
Meats are pretty cheap. As are cheeses.
I'm in love with Nutella, and Leberkaese, and Paprika chips. The locally brewed beer, Goldmeister, is fantastic cold or warm or just any which way you please.
The most fantastic food of all though is Doener. Doener is this little turkish sandwhich with lamb, lettuce, sauce, and tomato and just covered in awesome. They don't have them in America so I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm thinking about just starting a Doener restaurant. It'll be huge. I guarantee it.
In Schwaebisch Hall they have a twist on Doener called the Doener Box, which is Doener meat and sauce and french fries, all in a box. I think i like it more in the sandwich form but the box was also a lot of fun.

Otherwise all we've really been doing is exploring the town. It's so beautiful. Tonight we walked through a park and discovered lots of bridges and a big snail and also a castle in the distance!
Tomorrow classes officially start. As Caroline mentioned, we all thought the test was hard and sucked and we didn't get into the level we hoped we'd get into, but I at least placed high enough to get the college credit i need, so that's good.
Tomorrow is when class officially starts. 8:15am-12:45pm. Hopefully it'll be more fun and less work. Also on the agenda tomorrow is going to the electronics store on the edge of town and getting adapters. We only have one working one between three computers and my computer is always dying... like it is right now... gotta end this post!
more videos coming soon... youtube sucks for some reason over here and I can't upload very often.
Miss you all!
