Days 6-10

Still here in Schwib Schwab.

Classes are moving along at a snail's pace. At times I really enjoy them but other times I just want to get outside and go exploring.

One of my table partners is named Taejoon Kim and he's from Korea. I think that that's real cool.

My teacher, Hasenfuss, looks like if Einstein drank more beer and solved less relativity problems.

Today looks to be a fun day though. We are going to go explore the very old graveyard just outside of town, and also go to the bank and get more Euros.

Tonight is a bachelor party for our Norwegian friend Peter. He's not really getting married, but he really is Norwegian. He's not really getting married to Kirsten, who is also not really getting married, but she really is from U of M and she really is having a bachelorette party.

This is what we do over here in Germany. We make silly excuses to destroy the sanctity of marriage and the memes and traditions that surround them.

In other news, I've recently become obsessed with catching and photographing one of these babies:

Hedgehogs. They aren't found naturally in America (although Laura assures me that you can find them there because her brother used to breed them). They are, however, apparently all over Europe. Everywhere. SO WHY CAN'T I FIND ONE!?

After lots of research (read: I looked at the wiki page), I've discovered some key facts. 1. They are nocturnal. 2. They eat mostly fruit and insects, but they are also particularly big fans of canned dog food. 3. They can be found in grassy areas such as gardens and bushes near living spaces.

With this information, I believe I can capture one on film and maybe even befriend one. My fantasy is to have one that likes me enough to hang around me and sit on my shoulder and just be a cool 'gehog.

This weekend we are thinking of going to Nuremburg. But we're just not sure yet.

Here is a picture of Caroline and Lindsay doing what they do best.

This is our new friend Cade. He's from Iowa.
